About the Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V is the largest five-seat SUV in our fleet and the most comfortable car we rent that is not a seven-seater. The 1.5-litre turbo produces strong mid-range pull, the boot takes four large suitcases, and the equipment runs to adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate and a panoramic sunroof. It has been one of our most-booked vehicles since we started.

Minimum rental period is 3 days.
A refundable security deposit of ฿5,000 covers the insurance excess. It is returned in full if it is not used.
Delivery and collection anywhere on Koh Samui - your hotel, villa or the airport - are included in the rate.

Any minor damage is deducted from the deposit and the balance returned. We photograph every panel, the interior, the fuel or charge level and the odometer at handover, and you get those timestamped photos with your digital contract - so there is a record to compare against rather than an argument.

The Honda CR-V on Koh Samui roads

This is the most comfortable way to spend a lot of time in a car on Samui without going to a large SUV. Dual-zone climate and rear vents keep everyone cool on the afternoon drives, the ride absorbs the patched interior roads well, and there is enough clearance for hill villa access. At 4.7 metres it needs more care in Chaweng than a Corolla Cross does, but it is nothing like a Fortuner to place.

Does the Honda CR-V have seven seats?

The version we rent is a five-seater. If you need seven seats, look at the Honda BR-V, Toyota Fortuner or the MPV range.

Is the CR-V worth the extra over a Corolla Cross?

If you regularly carry four or five people with luggage, yes - it is substantially bigger inside and more comfortable. For two people the Corolla Cross does the same job for less and uses less fuel.
