Unlike most rivals it uses a conventional six-speed torque-converter automatic rather than a CVT, which makes it feel more responsive and less droning on hill climbs. A refundable security deposit of ฿3,000 covers the insurance excess. It is returned in full if it is not used.

Any minor damage is deducted from the deposit and the balance returned. We photograph every panel, the interior, the fuel or charge level and the odometer at handover, and you get those timestamped photos with your digital contract - so there is a record to compare against rather than an argument.

Is the Mazda 2 a hatchback or a sedan?

We rent the five-door hatchback. Mazda sells a sedan version in Thailand too; if you specifically need a separate locked boot, tell us at booking and we will confirm availability.
