The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the efficiency champion of the entire fleet. Its streamlined shape gives it the lowest drag of any car we rent, which translates to around 500 km of real island range from a 77.4 kWh battery. It also uses an 800-volt architecture, so on a suitable DC charger it goes from 10 to 80 per cent in about 18 minutes - the fastest here alongside its Ioniq 5 and EV6 siblings.

Long-stay renters, efficiency-minded drivers, and anyone planning significant mainland driving where the combination of long range and very fast charging genuinely changes the trip.
On a 51 km island, 500 km of range means you will realistically charge once a week or less. Where the Ioniq 6 pulls further ahead is the mainland run: take the ferry to Don Sak and the 18-minute charging stop makes Khao Sok or Krabi as straightforward as it would be in a petrol car. The low, aerodynamic body is the trade-off - this is a sleek sedan, not a car for rough villa access roads.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6, at around 500 km of real island driving. Its aerodynamic shape makes it the most efficient car in our fleet by a clear margin.
The car can accept much higher DC charging power, so 10 to 80 per cent takes about 18 minutes rather than 30-40. On the island it rarely matters; on a mainland trip it is the difference between a coffee stop and a long wait.
It is a sourced-on-request vehicle rather than one held permanently in our fleet. Send us your dates and we will confirm availability quickly.
